How to Reset a Meter?

What happens if a Wibeee meter is reset?

There may be some situations where it is necessary to reset or restore the original settings of the Wibeee meters. To do this, it is necessary to use the RESET button on the equipment.

When performing a RESET, the WiFi network, password and data will be temporarily stored in the device's memory, but the consumption data will not be deleted from the Wibeee Nest platform.

If Modbus communication is configured, the equipment will return to factory default and will restart in WiFi mode by default.

Which settings are reset to their initial/factory state?

When we do a reset, the following settings will be reset to factory default:

  • IP: 192.168.1.150

  • DNS 1: 8.8.8.8.8

  • DNS 2: 8.8.8.4

  • DHCP enabled

  • Hostname: Wibeee

  • SSID and Password: Reissues its own wifi network (WIBEEE_XX:XX:XX)
