Notifications

General description

Your meter sends to the platform, second by second, a lot of information that is processed, aggregated and saved. Reports are one of the many ways to extract information stored in your Wibeee Nest account and is the right one when you want to have information available automatically and in an easily readable and distributable PDF.

Although it is possible to create reports from your mobile device, for usability reasons it is advisable to do so from its browser version for tablet or PC.

Fortunately, creating a customised report is really easy.

Go to the Notifications menu at the bottom left of your screen.

Menú notificaciones

When you open this option, you are telling Wibeee Nest that you want to see all the notifications, reports or alarms that the system has prepared for you. If you look closely, you will see that there is a selector at the top of the screen. By default, it points to 'All', so you will see a list of notifications ordered chronologically from most recent to oldest.

Selector de tipo de notificaciones

You can change this filter to display only reports, alarms, events or news, in that order. Right next to it you will also find a button that takes you directly to the security audit list, where you will find the list of accesses to your account that you need to pay attention to.

If you have a lot of results in this view, you can always narrow down the results thanks to the date selector:

Enter a start date and an end date, and the list will be adjusted to everything that has taken place between those dates.

Right next to this selector, you have the icon that allows you to create your customised reports:

Create a report

When you select the custom reports icon, a screen similar to the one below opens:

Notice that it tells us that there is 1 report created, 1 alarm created and informs us of the status of the events, as well as whether we have given permission to receive news about Wibeee Nest.

To create a report, click on the arrow that displays the section and then click on the '+' sign to add a new report.

We describe below what each of the fields you can fill in means:

Field

What means

Field

What means

Choose whether you want a report with data only, or whether you prefer to display the information as a bar chart or line graph.

Name

Your report needs a name. This name will be used to identify it in Wibeee Nest and will appear in the header.

Periodicity

Periodicity means how often the report will be run. Daily, weekly or monthly. Note that Wibeee Nest will run the report on the same day of the week or month that you create it.

You also have the option to have it run at the end of the billing period. You set this up when you defined the space and indicated what the billing day was.

Granularity

The granularity determines the volume of data your report will contain. If it is hourly, you will receive hourly data. It can also be daily, weekly or monthly.

Note that if you order a report with daily periodicity and monthly granularity, you will receive the same report every day of the month. Be careful with the combinations between periodicity and granularity.

Dates

If you need a specific report between specific dates, just indicate it here. The report will only be run once.

Measures

You can choose on which measures you want to receive the report. Although you can potentially choose all of them, it will probably be preferable to group them in some way and order no more than 4-5 per report. Readability and usability of the report first and foremost!

Devices, spaces, groups

The report can be run on a single device, on all devices in a space or on all devices in a group of spaces.

Again, you have no theoretical limit on the number of meters to include, but think about what a report that includes hundreds of devices might look like. It may be better to get the same report by grouping meters by 'theme'.

Recipients

The report will be sent by email to the recipients you specify here. However, they must have guest permissions to receive them.

Once defined, you only have to save it and it will be available from that very moment.

Details that may be useful

Three interesting things: in the header of the report you will see these options:

The first, a switch. If you turn it off, the report is saved but never run. This is useful if you are testing or if you are going through a period when you don't want to receive the report.

The 'Run report now' button does exactly that: it runs the report without you having to wait for the next schedule.

Finally, the recycle bin destroys the report definition. If you need it, you will have to create it again.
