What do the LEDs on the meter indicate?
Meter status according to LEDs
Wibeee meters, have the following LEDs:
Red indicates if the system is running, i.e. powered.
Blue refers to communication with the server. It indicates whether or not the system is connected and sending data to the cloud.
Depending on the system, the following conditions can be deciphered based on the behaviour of the LEDs:
Red | Blue | Status | Description |
Blinking | Slow blink alternating with the red LED | Unconfigured | It is powered but not sending data. The meter broadcasts its own Wibeee_XX:XX:XX WiFi network and is ready for configuration on Nest. |
Blinking | Off | Configuring | The system is restarting to apply the configuration changes. |
Offline | If the device has already been configured and the blue LED is off, this indicates it is not connected to the server. | ||
Blinking* | Fast blinking | Connecting | The meter is powered and has established a connection to the router. The system attempts to communicate with the server, for 40 seconds up to 3 times. |
Blinking* | Steady on | Sending data | The meter is powered, has established a connection with the router, and is communicating correctly with the server. |
Off | Off | No power | The system has no power, is turned off, and is not making any measurements. Check the installation to rule out product defects. |
3 simultaneous blinks | Resetting |
*For the Plug, the red LED reports the relay status of the meter in addition to the system's power:
Red | Status | Description |
Mostly on, blinking every 3 seconds | On | The Plug is running and the appliance is connected to the mains and powered. |
Mostly off, blinking every 3 seconds | Off | The Plug is running and the appliance is plugged in but without power. |
Modbus configuration
After applying the Modbus configuration to the meter, the LEDs will act as follows:
Red | Blue | Status | Description |
Blinking | Off | Restarting | The system is restarting to apply the configuration changes. |
Blinking | Fast blinking | Operating Modbus mode | The Modbus configuration has been successfully set on the meter. |
