How to update the firmware of a meter?
Firmware updates allow devices to always stay up to date with the latest new additions and enhancements that are applied, so they operate and take measurements with the highest precision.
Firmware updates are not essential to the operation of Wibeee meters, but they are recommended to improve the user experience of the Wibeee meters.
The meter's firmware version can be viewed through Wibeee Nest in the Settings section.
If the device does not have the latest Firmware version available for that model, a Pending Update message will appear in the device information, both from the web platform and from the mobile App.
However, it will only be possible to proceed with the update through the mobile App.
The firmware update can only be performed via the mobile App and if the mobile device is connected to the same WiFi network as the meter.
Update Firmware through APP
In the same Settings menu, click on the Firmware Update button.
2. Press the Continue button to start the update process. Wait while the App checks the connection to the meter and temporarily downloads the Firmware that will be sent to the Wibeee.
3. Press the Finish button and return to the Settings screen to verify that the meter has successfully updated to the new firmware version.
Update Firmware through WEB
Using web access to https://nest.wibeee.com you must access Settings → Advanced settings and open the drop-down menu:
Download the .zip file and then unzip and run it:
If all goes well, you will find the Wibeee(s) and try to update them to the latest version.
