Known issues with some devices

Xiaomi

We have found that MI devices have non-standard behaviour that seriously hinders the migration process. This is due to the way they act when they detect that a WiFi network does not have internet access. With other brands, a warning appears but the user can stay connected to this network. However, MI devices tend to disconnect from this network and look for another connected one with no prior notice, interrupting the migration process and leaving the Wibeee in an unstable situation.

If you have a device from this brand and cannot use any other device to run the migration process, please follow these steps.

  1. Run Wibeee Nest on your mobile.

  2. Access the WiFi settings menu and ‘forget’ the passwords of the WiFi networks you typically connect to when you are in the location where you have the Wibeee installed (your home, your office, your factory).

  3. Reset your Wibeee device.

  4. Your mobile will display a WiFi network whose name starts with WIBEEE, please accept the connection.

  5. The process will run normally and your Wibeee will migrate.

  6. At some point in the future, you will need to re-enter the WiFi credentials you normally connect to when you are in the location where the Wibeee is installed (your home, your office, your factory).

Throughout the process you may see a 500 connection error message. This happens because, as you ‘forgot’ your usual WiFi network credentials, the App will fail when trying to connect. Ignore the error and when the migration process is complete, reconnect to your regular WiFi network and run Wibeee Nest again.

Oppo

We know that we have difficulties with some Oppo brand phones to be able to register the devices correctly. In this case, if the application closes when you are going to create the device, it is affected by this brand. Our recommendation is that you must create the device with another terminal. You will then be able to operate normally through your regular Oppo phone.
